At Passionate Support Ltd, we are fully committed to achieving net zero across all areas of our business. We will regularly review and improve our practices to ensure ongoing progress towards our net zero goals.
4) Additional Details Relating to Baseline Emissions Calculations:
As a Home Care provider, we are committed to environmental sustainability and actively strive to minimise our carbon footprint. As part of our submission and Carbon Reduction Plan we aim to provide additional details relating to baseline emissions calculations, as outlined in GOV.UK PPN 06/21.
In line with the government's objective to transition to a low-carbon economy, we recognise the significance of accurately assessing and managing our environmental impact. We understand that baseline emissions calculations are a crucial step towards achieving this goal. To comply with the requirements of GOV.UK PPN 06/21, we will conduct a comprehensive assessment of our operations, including energy consumption, transportation, waste management, and other relevant areas. This assessment will be carried out in accordance with recognised home care standards and best practices. Our aim is to establish a reliable baseline for emissions calculations, which will enable us to track our progress and implement targeted strategies to reduce our carbon emissions effectively. We are committed to aligning our practices with the government's environmental objectives and contributing to a sustainable future. By the end of August 2026, we will be able to update this plan to include the exact practical update on where we will be at the time.
NB: We are currently unable to provide the figures on the tables below but this will be updated accordingly as time progresses.
5) Emissions Reduction Target:
We have no previous emissions reduction commitment; however, we project to be part of carbon reduction, and our target is to switch to electric cars by the baseline year.
We also committed to reduce carbon by:
- Encouraging staff to use public transport and cycling (for those who can).
- Encourage our clients to contribute to carbon reduction by turning off lights and take shorter showers.
- Avoid food wastages and store food properly.
- Buy products made from recycled materials.
- Avoid using plastic bags/straws
- Be involved in supporting local and national policies to promote carbon reduction.
In the progression of time, we aim to deliver in our work environments, practices and workforce. We also aim to compensate for all our generated emissions, including those from essential and unavoidable travel, by investing in carbon-reduction projects that are certified to international standards.
Passionate Support management will give its full support to this Carbon Reduction plan.
Carbon Rejection Projects:
We have not had carbon reduction projects yet, but this will be in plce in due course.
